River Wild by Samantha Towle
5.0
Another one of my older reviews I just found:
This book evoked such strong emotions, and really made my heart soft. I devoured this book so fast, and it was such a heartwarming story. Not many complaints from me, and it was a great lil palette cleanser while still being a really good put together story.
Carrie moved to a small town in Texas with a new identity, running away from her abusive situation. She wanted to provide her unborn child with abetter life, so she disguises herself to not be found by her abusive husband. River has a lot of trauma as her new neighbor, and is very cold and off-putting. They begin warming up to each other and the rest is history.

But River is showing me that there isn’t just black and white. There’s gray in all its varying shades.

The Bible says an eye for eye. Maybe God knew that not everyone could be dealt with the same.
