This book was so dark and heavy. Everything was wrong, everyone was sad. It's written in an oddly simplistic style, and I could never figure out if it was intentional. It takes several chapters to follow which character/timeline is which, but I did eventually get there.
Was it a good book? I honestly don't know. It was thought-provoking. Poignant. A commentary on modern environmental concerns. Deeply human. But also so tragic that it felt like a personal attack.
All this, I suppose, to say that you should be mindful of your mindset before taking this on.
