The Girl in the Tower by Katherine Arden
5.0
First of all, congratulations to The Girl in the Tower on being my first full 5 stars middle book of a trilogy.
And second of all, how do you not love this? It was everything I wanted. I knew this was going to be a 5 stars book when I was around only a hundred pages into. This was magical and absolutely enchanting. And the stakes were higher and we love to see it.
Vasya Petrovna has easily become one of my favorite female characters of all time. And the character development, the romance, the writing everything in this book was immaculate as in *chef's kiss*.
I already want to reread this <3

"I am not a dog," she snapped.
"You may tell me to go home, but I may chose not to. Do you think that is all I want, in my life - a royal dowry, and a man to force his children on me?"
I already want to reread this <3
