Allegiant is very different from Divergent, which is why I am on the fence with this book. Took me longer to finish (almost 24 hours).

I was not expecting that ending, and it left me misty-eyed and heavy. It's very depressing. I am glad that I did not read any spoilers, which is an amazing feat for me. If I had, I would not have had the strength to finish the series. This is the kind of book that you will want to read with no expectations, just taking it in word for word. Let the chapters surprise you...and depress you.
