Beautiful Hearts by Jax Calder

Jax Calder outdid herself with this one. It was kind, swoony, funny, and at times sad and painful. In short, it was perfect.

The comradery these two have off the bat is what most of us dream of. Though Tim fights it in the beginning, he’s older, and a widower with a child after all. But eventually, even he can’t deny how well they fit together. How happy Jamie makes him, how much more he laughs with him around.

Jamie is young and trying to recover from some terrible blows his life has taken at a young age. He’s not sticking around, now that he’s got his life back on track, he has plans. Until a certain sexy science teacher and his adorable daughter give him something worth staying for.

These guys are lovely, and beautiful, but flawed, making them even more endearing. When the world drops out from underneath both of them, they must do some real soul-searching. Real love is sometimes messy. But sometimes it can make it all the more worth it.

Seriously, this was such a great book. I was entranced the whole time, I just couldn’t put it down.
