This was outstanding.
Every single character was such a rotten monster and they still managed to make you root for them.
Seven Samurai is a setup rife for a more pulpier story and that's what I thought this was going to be, and whilst it delivered on its setup, the writing was SO GOOD to back it up.
The world, the characters, the action, it was all right up my alley.
Johnston manages to find the human in the monstrous.
