A Red-Hot Romantic Comedy...they were not joking!

Holy Hell. I had heard that Mariah Ankenman’s work was very spicy and love watching her tiktoks and reels but I was not prepared for this. While, technically yes, I have read spicier books before, none had this level of tension or steam to them.

The tension between Parker and Tamsen is so rigid throughout with both of them denying their feelings and trying to carry on with their lives but then the whole, almost, forbidden-esque relationship between them is just to die for.

Parker was so lovely to read and I adored him so much. The fact that he is a firefighter just added to my admiration and created so much more juicy tension. And Tamsens’ loveable and quirky, yet comically accident-prone character was just too cute. The pair work so well together and I just fell in love with these two and their romantic comedic chemistry.

Mariah, I salute you for writing such an amazing story!! And also for the audiobook copy of this book. It was just a pleasure listening to Connor Brown narrate this to me. Like silk to my ears
