What was it about?
Lettie has moved back to her hometown after moving away from college. When she left, she didn't tell her brothers' best friend, Bailey, about it which hurt him. Now she's back and wants her family to take her seriously, so they let her go to a horse show with one condition: Bailey has to come. On the trip, the two of them try to heal their relationship.
What did I like?
I really enjoyed reading about Lettie's medical condition and her struggles with it. It really gave her and the overall story a lot of depth! I understood her frustrations with how her family treated her because of it and got annoyed myself whenever they told her she couldn't do something.
I loved Lettie and Bailey together! They were really made for each other. Their relationship was so cute and I was rooting for them the entire time! Bailey immediately understood how Lettie felt about getting treated differently because of her medical condition so he tried his best to make her not feel like that.
What did I dislike?
The book kind of lost my attention towards the end. I felt like the author could have done more with the third-act conflict. Now I felt like she was so focused on it not being a breakup that she gave us no conflict at all. There were a bunch of interesting opportunities for a conflict like the ranch and other stuff that were just brushed aside or solved really quickly.
Overall
I really enjoyed my time reading this and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun cowboy romance! I'm looking forward to the next book because I really got to like all of the brothers in this one.
