This is not your typical true crime story. Usually we don't learn of the identity of the killer until the middle or even the end of the book. Also we go through months or even years of investigative methods before we get answers.
It is within the first few pages we learn who the criminal is, and within a week or so we learn about 5 murders he confesses to and other crimes he admits to doing.
Along the way near victims reach out to Kim, only by a whim of the killer he didn't choose them. His ex wife and girlfriends paint a vivid description of how he can be violent. Others only saw the good well behaved gentlemen he showed the world.
This does take place in midwest quiet town few hours from me. Even though the book clears up the crimes he confesses to and after a lot of searching brings a full name to one victim, many in this state would if there are others he has chosen to be silent about
