Fiero is a very popular, attractive Don. While working in Florida he sees Valentina and he is instantly intrigued and smitten.  He has never felt this way about another woman and he is determined to have her. Unfortunately he finds out that she is married and he quickly realizes that her husband is in serious debt with the cartel, so he strikes a deal to have her for a weekend for 5 million dollars. Now Valentina’s husband is a pig because instead of being outraged and insulted he wants to negotiate for a higher price. This story although full of mystery, suspense and spice is a very sad story. Valentina has suffered through some trauma and her husband abuses her and has really tried to make her this perfect submissive wife, however she is anything but submissive. Fiero seems to realize that although he wants her, there are some bigger issues going on in her house. Fiero is possessive, extremely protective over her and he realizes that there is an attraction between the two of them that she wants to deny. This book was fast moving, and the story kept me firmly engaged. Wondering how Fiero was going to get Valentina out from her husband’s clutches? I enjoyed this book so much I read it in a couple of hours. I didn’t want to put it down. I needed to know how this problem would be resolved. Siobhan Davis is a new author to me but I will gladly pick up any of her previous mafia books.
