The last time I read Shakespeare was in high school, and I have never read or seen A Midsummer Night's Dream. I had no idea what was going to happen, and here's my hot take: it was really good! Ha! I found it fascinating to read a book published a few hundred years ago with so many modern themes. Honestly, this one reminded me a lot of a reality dating series. Misunderstandings! Unrequited love! Fights! Mischief! Trysts! It had it all. :) I enjoyed listening to the BBC audio production while reading the print version. It made the play so much more accessible to experience both at the same time, and I'll probably be adding more Shakespeare to my TBR.
