Oofta - this was a tough book to read. It's been something I've wanted to pick up since it came out but knew it would be difficult to get through so I needed to make sure I was in the right frame of mind before starting it.
Jennette's story was heartbreaking. Growing up with a semi-absent father, an abusive and narcissistic mother, pushed into a career that she didn't want with zero actual support around her - I can't imagine how difficult it was. I thought her memoir was searingly honest, shocking, and devastating at times. The number of things she's gone through is astounding and was impressed by her writing.
