I read this over seven years ago, and ironically said I didn't remember the first book enough to really enjoy coming back into the series. I wrote that I wished there was a recap. NOW, reading this again, reading it back-to-back (listening ... I went with the audio edition this go round) I totally remembered the first book, and with that, felt like there WAS a recap and that was a little bit redundant for a reader if they were reading the books consecutively. And to further the irony, I felt like I remembered book one fairly well after eight years! :) Go figure! As I re-read this entire trilogy, I'm not really remembering where book 2 started and ended, to write a review for this one book. But I really enjoyed my re-read. Great narration for the audio.
