On a scale of cotton candy to Brussel sprouts, Big Magic has to be cotton candy because it's floaty, inspiring, delicious, and delightful. And in this case, it has to be healthy. Everyone needs something sweet and ambrosial every here and again.

This book was recommended to me by a friend, and I'm so glad that she told me I had to read it because I did have to read it. I may not have enjoyed Elizabeth Gilbert's Eat Pray Love, but I adore this book.

Never have I heard creativity interacted with on this light and amusing level. Big Magic constantly had me giggling to myself for the way that Elizabeth talked about creativity.
