The Boys in the Boat: Nine Americans and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics by Daniel James Brown

5.0

The story defies belief. The author's persistence in reassembling the narrative from sources both scant and generous results in a marvel of modern literature. To call it well-written is an understatement and cliché. Boys in the Boat is simply one of the best books I have ever read.
