The stubborn disbelief Sarah has with Jack that starts after learning one, rather insignificant, secret about his past, is the most infuriating part of this book. I was getting legitimately angry at her every time she said he was a liar or murderer for barely any reason at all. It felt like she wanted him to be the killer.
She kept disregarding information if it didn't fit into her idea that everything was Jack's fault or he wasn't the person she thought he was. How was she an investigative journalist?
The prologue and last few chapters were really good though.
Overall, this was better whenever we weren't hearing Sarah's thoughts.
