Pantone: The 20th Century in Color by Leatrice Eiseman, Keith Recker

informative inspiring medium-paced

4.0

Interesting view of the 20th century in different color palettes, fashions, events and themes in the world, though mainly in the U.S. I’d love to use the color palettes and the contexts as an inspiration in my art and that was the reason why I got the book in the first place. The book didn’t inclue a lot of poc culture or minority culture in general, except some mentions about disco, civil rights etc. until the 90s.As an European can’t tell if that is a deliberate choice or a part of American culture taking a long time to embrace poc culture in the mainstream.
