I'm really a mess of feels after this book. I believe this is the first book that broke me so badly I had to put it down for the rest of the day before I continued it. I was loving it, ready to give it 5 stars... and then the end came.
First, I just want to say I knew who she would end up with. It was obvious to me. There were a couple of twists in this that did make me second guess it at one point, and I certainly think the way I second guessed it would have been better, but I'm not necessarily unhappy with it. The epilogue was very moving and I actually loved that. It's just... hard to explain without spoiling why I don't necessarily think the ending was awful, I think it could have been done better.
I do still think that overall this series was very good, the writing was good, and the characters were all amazing. Even the Darkling is such a great written character. I loved this book and how strongly it made me feel.
