Even though The Family Upstairs has some loose ends, I wasn’t sure what to expect from a sequel. I think Jewell did a great job filling in any holes from the first book without it feeling like she was retelling the same story. I also love how she wrapped up all the loose ends and then, in the final section, tugged something loose. Will there be another book? Even if not, the character now has a life of their own in my imagination.
