The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides

3.0

I’ll admit I’m not a massive fan of modern popular fiction. This book, while I certainly understand its popularity, and it’s a story I was interested in finishing, but it otherwise felt cliche and more or less devoid of anything beyond surface level. There are themes of paranoia and revenge, but doesn’t really offer much. I didn’t hate it, but it’s the kinda book I’d read for the sake of reading, which is why it’s a true “middle of the road” novel for me, nothing that’ll really stick with me or I’ll write home about.
