What a super fantasy story. I did however feel that this book started strong and ended strong with quite a lag in the middle.
I grew up watching the film so was really intrigued to compare to the book. It surprised me that the film was literally only the first half of the book. I really enjoyed this first half, it's just a great adventure.
When Bastian first arrives in Fantastica is also great...it's after this that I found it started to drag. What was the point of the Schlamoof part?!?
