Murder in the Snow by Verity Bright
3.0
Another Eleanor Swift book down! [Murder in the Snow] is a christmas edition of our beloved Henley Hall family.
I think this book really nailed down the holiday spirit! It was so comforting to read about Ellie and her found family enjoying the holidays.
However despite the lovely atmosphere, book 5 rated a bit lower compared to the other books in my experience. The murder mystery case felt a little lackluster at times. I can't really place what exactly bothered me but it was just generally less enjoyable? Honestly, maybe it's just me haha.
[Murder in the Snow] also carries way less of a romantic subplot. I have to admit, it kind of frustrated me. I really wanted to see some progress. It seemed to leave us at an odd place after the previous book. Eventually we did see some advancements but I'm not really into how Lancelot's shortcomings weren't ever discussed. ESPECIALLY AFTER THE LAST BOOK (I am still positively fuming!).
My biggest pet peeve about this book however is, DONT READ THE BLURB!!!! I don't know why the blurb literally spoils the entire book
