Superman: Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow? by Alan Moore

5.0

A superb ending to the silver-age Superman. Moving, grand and beautiful. I never liked Superman as a kid. For some reason, Batman was just more appealing, dark and edgy (go figure, I was 16). But now, he may be one of my favorite characters (though this often depends on the creative team). The included Superman + Swamp Thing Annual and the other Superman Special with Mongul were just as good, and the "Heart's Desire" thorn plant was SO WELL DONE. During such a difficult time of tumult in America, it's nice to be reminded that Superman does no harm to anyone, that even the most powerful of creatures can be gentle and kind.
