A Want of Kindness: A Novel of Queen Anne by Joanne Limburg
2.0
A one star review immediately precedes a five star one, that made me chuckle.
Not as bad a writer as some reviewers would have you believe, just not a particularly competent story teller, also, it concentrates too much on her relationships with her ladies in waiting, without actually getting down to any interesting nitty gritty and completely brushing over the more important historical events.
There is a brief period towards the end of the book where she concentrates on her relationship with her sister, probably the only time I didn’t want to quit.
I wouldn’t say this made it worthwhile, but did help it to gain its second star.
