Reclaimed was pretty heavy at times, but also hopeful, as sweet, self-conscious Saba endured a very achy and impactful journey towards emotional healing, love and acceptance.

This was a complex and fascinating story, and on top of Saba's poignant struggles, there were arcane scholars trying to fix a dangerous dimensional tear, an Ambassador having to solve the mystery of a murdered official, and all of that amidst some ugly cultural political strife that sincerely made my blood boil!

There was soooo much going on, but I thought Haddon told a powerful and tender story. And even though the romance was not the major focus of this book, i loved how sturdy and sincere Zek was, and how Saba's interiority revealed how complicated intimacy and desire was, because of the feelings tied to his body.

I loved the ending and i thought Saba and Zek's HEA was a beautiful one! This was my first Seth Haddon but it definitely won't be my last! Can't wait to read the first two books in this series, as well as everything still to come for this interesting world!
