Superman Vs. Meshi Vol. 3 by Satoshi Miyagawa

funny informative lighthearted reflective fast-paced

3.5

i have an odd sort of affection for these books, i have and read all 3 now and theres such a coziness and silliness to all of them, like we're watching superman clock out of his shift. The way it integrates the rest of DC and various key moments (they manage to get the motherbox,  flashpoint, and the death of superman in this one volume) into a story about superman eating chain food in japan is kind of wild and often extremely funny. its not high art or great manga storytelling, but like getting only fried food additions on your rice order, its a guilty pleasure that brings me nothing but joy.
