You ever have one of those books that's been sitting for FOREVER on your shelf, and you're finally like. . . .yeah, let's do it! Let's read this one. Well, that was The Children on the Hill for me. This was a compelling enough thriller with a very interesting setting. I was interested more in the earlier storyline than the later one, but it all comes together pretty nicely in the end. No shocking twists for me, but others may be shocked by the ending. Overall, a solid mystery.
