Robin was very hard headed in the beginning, I feel. It was like she knew what was going to happen, but decided to do something else that would throw her off, if that makes sense.
I also think her denial of being a lesbian plays very well into how she navigated high school as a whole. Her interactions were calculated and I think she just needed a new group of people to be around who didn’t want her to fall and tumble.
And I think her denial in that led her to situations she wouldn’t usually catch herself in.
