Okay im late giving this review on this book, but I'm just now getting around to writing my reviews on my latest books.
I finally made it through this series which put me into a terrible reading slump. (I always get slumped after fantasy series, but this one WHEW lawddd) But it was SOOOOO good. Good spice to fantasy ratio, good world building and story building, and the story just really fell altogether.
HOWEVEVERRRRRR before you get into this series, just know her next series does not include the characters she left off on a cliffhanger in this book. And im PISSEDDDDD. I think she may come back out with a book on them, but the fact that the glimpse at the next book is not them....BOYYYYYYY im salty.
Back to this book though, this was a really good vampire series. I havent read a good vampire series in a really long time, so this was such a pleasant surprise since the outside of the book doesnt really give much. I feel like besides the characters she left on a cliffhanger, this book wraps up this world really well, and i loved the underlying messages in the book. I think when i initially rated this, i was just really tired of reading this series, and i feel like it could have been wrapped up in three books if im being honest. The series fatigue was REAL.
