The Crow's Murder by Tate James

dark mysterious tense medium-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? It's complicated
  • Loveable characters? It's complicated
  • Diverse cast of characters? No
  • Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

3.5

Still really engaging and I love just how much magic and mythology there is in here, having so much fun w the paranormal, but imo there’s so many plot inconsistencies that make it kinda frustrating. Characters being deliberately obtuse is not my fav and it happened a lot more in this book. For a group of supposedly the best agents in the world and the best thief, they’re so bad at thinking things through.
Anyways this book was emotionally charged and I’m very curious to see how it wraps up but yeah, as I read more I get more frustrated at the construction.
