I enjoyed Elle’s addition to the Road to Rocktoberfest 2022 which is based within her own universes, which makes it a pleasant read if you know her work. It’s always lovely seeing characters from other books and series.
This was a really sweet best friends-to-lovers story with a bi-awakening. Two of my favourite tropes.
With Luka pinning for Dean since they were teens. When they first met they just clicked, and never looked back. Now Luka is the guitar tech for Dean’s band the Lost Apostles. He tours with his best friend, taking care of his dog and picking up the pieces of Dean’s heart when woman after woman drops him. All while Dean is completely oblivious. Dean just wants a family, so desperately, he’ll fall in love with women at the drop of a hat. It’ll take Luka being honest about his feelings to change the course of both their lives.
They’re both really good guys, just a bit misguided and lost. In the end, these two get all the hearts and flowers they deserve.
