Immediately captivating, Ingrid's journey struck every tender chord in my heart. I was entirely engrossed before the end of the first chapter. As a rule (one I voluntarily break each time I get lost in a Deese story), I don't knowingly read books that will make me cry. Once again at the conclusion of this tear inducing read, I have no regrets and a heart tenderness that feels like another step towards a better version of myself. Every aspect of this story is genuine and vivid, making the setting, characters, and emotions probe the depths of my spirit.
