Knife: Meditations After an Attempted Murder by Salman Rushdie

I bought this book solely for the cover, because I mean… look at it!! I was suprised to see it was a memoir about an author who got stabbed during a speech about protecting authors not that long ago. 1. Because i hadn’t heard anything about the attack and 2. because I don’t really read non-fiction. I did enjoy my time reading it though! The situation that Rushdie went through was awful, but reading about his relationship with his family and how he recovered physically and mentally brought in the right amount of lightness.
I loved his writing, both lyrical and straightforward.. will definitely be picking up one of his fictional works!
