This book brought me out of my "darker romance" slump, where every dark romance I was reading did not serve what I needed it to, while also throwing me back into arguably a worse slump after it was over??? I am sitting here not wanting to read another book because this one was everything I have ever wanted in a dark romance. You have an obsessed and possessive hero, a strong af FMC who takes no one's crap, a marriage of convenience, only one bed, hot as hell smut (think 50 Shades of Gray but done correctly!!!), and other things that I don't want to spoil but truly rocked my entire world. I have never read a more Amanda-coded book. This was just amazing from start to finish, it kept me completely locked in. I am so excited for this series to continue and I also will be backtracking and reading the rest of this author's backlog because I am obsessed (Me and Callum are the same like that lmao). This was a great introductory 'dark romance' if someone was interested in the sense that it was a very gray area morally while not being so intensely dark that you have to build up to this. But also for seasoned darker romance readers, I think this was a great read! If you like a man obsessed you need to read this now. xo
