I loved this graphic novel! The art was absolutely stunning. The artist has a talent for incorporating magical details into scenes; for example, my favorite illustrations were of the botany rooms because there were vines twisting around all the desks and walls.

This book reminded me of Harry Potter (f*** jkr) in all the best ways -- and did things better than HP. Several plot points reminded me of the early books, but I liked how this author executed them (tiny spoiler:

the malfoy-esque character crushes/dates the hermione-esque character, and it's queer!

. The characters were likable and diverse. The mystery/major action was well done and satisfying.
