I just became obsessed! I have been wanting a story of mermaids or sirens where they aren't cute like Ariel. I wanted murderous monsters, and Mira has delivered! This book is so well written. I felt like I was there seeing and feeling everything as it happened. I feel like a lot of research went into this as well since there was quite a bit about biology and marine life. Since I started this book I haven't been able to stop telling people about it. It has everything I was looking for and then some! I wasn't expecting deaf and Sapphic representation but I appreciate them!
