So Real by Abby Millsaps
5.0
I'm going back and forth between 4 and 5 stars on this one, so hopefully, I can decide while writing this out. So, let's jump in...
I would be doing everyone a disservice by not starting this with a heavy, heavy reminder to check the trigger warnings and to check in with yourself while reading this one.
Now that we've taken care of that one...
Just when I thought the first book hooked me, the second installment in Abby Millsaps' series cranked the excitement up to 11! So Real picks up right where the cliffhanger in So Wrong left us; let me tell you, it does not disappoint. The pacing is much snappier this time, pulling you in from the start and keeping the tension high throughout.
The dual timeline and multiple POVs—Greedy, Hunter, and Levi—are back and better than ever. The dynamics between these characters are electric, with Hunter and Levi's moments being absolute standouts. Their interactions are so well-written and filled with chemistry and depth that they make you root for them even more. We also add Kabir's (Spence) POV and get to know him and Hunter's relationship in both timelines, which had me feeling ✨things.✨
Like I mentioned, as with the first book, be prepared for heavy trigger warnings. This series doesn't shy away from tough topics but handles them with care and authenticity. It's intense and emotional, but that's part of what makes it so compelling.
And oh, that ending! If you thought the first book's cliffhanger was intense, brace yourself. This one leaves you on the edge of your seat, eagerly awaiting the next chapter in this gripping saga.
All in all, the second book in this series is a thrilling continuation that deepens the story and the characters we love. So I guess it's 5 stars for me, packed with heart-pounding drama, sizzling romance, and a storyline that keeps you guessing. So, if you're ready for more twists, turns, and emotional rollercoasters, dive into this book. You won't be able to put it down!
