Priority Mail: The Investigation and Trial of a Mail Bomber Obsessed with Destroying Our Justice System by Mark Winne
informative
medium-paced
3.0
Walter Leroy Moody was born in 1935. He was known to have a temper and underwent psychiatric evaluations that determined he had consistent violent thoughts. He was sentenced to five years in prison in 1972, after a pipe bomb, he planned to send to an auto dealer who had repossessed his car, exploded on his wife. After his release from prison, and a divorce, Moody got right back to business. He mailed bombs to people who were involved in the justice system and civil rights. He wound up injuring his first wife, injuring the wife of someone he mailed the bomb to, and killing two others.
This case was featured on Forensic Files, so if you are interested in the reading list for fans of the show, this book is on it. It was a decent book that went into detail about the attitude and mental health of Moody, as well as explaining the trial and conviction.
