"Bez przewodnika" (Without a Guide) is a beautifully written novella that starts a little slow but builds tension along the way. The vocabulary (Polish, of course) was a little out of my wheelhouse, but the parallel English text saved the day. For intermediate learners of Polish, it's a must-read.
