The City in the Middle of the Night by Charlie Jane Anders
5.0
CW: homophobia, (mentioned) deaths of children, (mentioned) deaths of parents/parental figures
I know this book has some issues, and the pacing is definitely quite slow, but literally none of that matters because I'm in love.
I adore this book.
Political intrigue, sci-fi planetary science, fantastic creatures, queer characters, and a primarily female cast ❤️❤️❤️ The way this book is written is just... The language used is so beautiful and there are some amazing, beautiful phrases. This book truly spoke to me.
I can't wait to get my hands on a physical copy to keep.
