I had such a good time with this one! I knew nothing going in except for liking the cover, and I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the world building. It’s the kind of fantasy I love, where the world is deeply connected to the themes the book is trying to explore, where you can tell how much thought and care went into building out culture, characters, and settings. I also loved how imaginative this was, a world of gods and people who hate them and people who want to be them. I’m a sucker for a quest, and this delivered. I thought the disability rep was well done, and enjoyed the characters a lot. I’m very excited to get to the next installment!
