Not Cool: The Hipster Elite and Their War on You by Greg Gutfeld

5.0

This book was fantastic! I love Greg Gutfeld's monologues on The Five so I was excited to read this book. If he didn't have humor in this book it would just make you mad. There are a lot of poor excuses for human beings mentioned in this book, but there are also people who try to make the world a better place. One of the things he tackles is how the rest of the country views the South. As someone who lives in the south I appreciated that very much. We are not all toothless rednecks, not that there is anything wrong with that. I wanted to highlight this entire book but I did note some lines.

"There it is again, the bane of all existence: self-esteem. What I would give for a nation with low self-esteem. (I think it's called China)"

Talking about the Boston bombing: "A lot of people don't fit in and don't blow people up."

Talking about Detroit's downfall and Chicago's violence: "The South was built on manners. In the North, it's built on mayhem."
