I read this as one of my lowest rated books for a reading challenge. I will say, I started off somewhat hopefully, as the beginning of this book isn't terrible. I knew it was going to be ridiculous, because of the content, but I think the first couple of chapters were actually okay. But we start to descend into very strange malapropisms and misapprehended phrases. I only started keeping track near the end, but some of the gems we got are:

* Back to the draining board ??

* His tongue "lathes" and "lashes" at the "juncture of her sex"

* I think this was supposed to be 'rented' but she mentions they lived in recanted houses?

* In the epilogue, his "yarn tentacles are back and ready to play"

* “torturous routine of leaping me up and down” in a sexual context, I'm guessing that's a typo/autocorrect

I think the issue is that the MC was dealing with some serious suicidal ideation when the yarn man (which . . . I never really understood how yarn-y he was) came into her life and we get a lot of deep thoughts about how terrible life is for most humans (which, go off, capitalism is a hellscape), and we all went into this looking for fun smut. There was smut, but * grimace emoji * not sure how fun it is.

I'll give it a two, because an attempt was made, and I think if it had tried to be either more or less serious (AND had at least a beta reader), it could have rated higher for me.
