So You Want to Talk About Race by Ijeoma Oluo
5.0
I'll start off by saying that I borrowed this audiobook from my local library, and before I was halfway through, I had already ordered my own paperback copy. This book answered so many questions that I didn't know I had about how to have conversations around race. It is written clearly and honestly and leaves no room for excuses. These conversations are necessary, and yes, they will be uncomfortable. I feel though that I have better language and more knowledge to successfully navigate these situations, and I have Ms. Oluo to thank for that. Just read it. Someone in your life needs you to.
