Brazen Virtue by Nora Roberts

4.0

I really liked this book. I had my doubts because it was written in the 80s but it delivered. Nora Roberts it’s always a great read for me. I really like the way she writes. This was a 3.5 ⭐️ for me because I think it could have been longer and provide more explanation. Also, this book is categorized as a romance but it doesn’t have that much in it. It’s more a thriller. Fast paced and easy to follow. I really liked it.

I really liked that all the women in the book are different and each had its own story. For an 80s book it’s portrayal of women it’s pretty good.
I really liked how you feel the narration change when you are reading about the killer and the other characters. It’s almost as if she was using different POVs.

Spoiler but I have to say it:

I really think Roberts should have explained more about Kathy. She was apparently a prescription drug addict, but it doesn’t go into much detail about how she got there. I would have liked a better background for her. Mostly about her life before being killed. It felt like a plot hole. I couldn’t ignore it.
