Losing Hope by Colleen Hoover

4.0

So I really liked this author's first book Hopeless, so I was excited to read it from Holder's POV rather than Hope's (which was book #1). I was not disappointed, although I did only give 4 instead of 5 stars because there were a few points I felt were a touch repetitive from book one although it was still told through Holder's perspective. This is definitely a heavy emotional read, both this and book #1. If you think it is just teen angst, think again. It is about suicide, child molestation, kidnapping, and figuring out who you are. Heavy stuff. The vivid emotional descriptions are spot on for these topics and there was nothing in that area I would change about this story. I liked also that it was a happy ending, because by golly these characters needed one more than any other. Overall, a pretty satisfying read.
