Butcher & Blackbird by Brynne Weaver

Phew! This book... I don't even know what to say!
I didn't want to stop listening to this book yesterday, but I had to, or else I wouldn't get nearly enough sleep. But it's easily doable, whether you are reading the Kindle version or listening to the most intense and perfect narration by two incredibly talented narrators. Joe Arden and Lucy River have never done a lousy narration/performance of anything I've read.
It's written in duet style. We have Sloane (Raven) and Rowan. Who both just happen to be serial killers?! Yep. And it gets going pretty quickly on that part of it. There were many laugh moments, and the banter between them and the side characters we met was great. It took a while for the steamy parts to get there, but once they did, oh my. Of course, there is a nice little twist at the end. I didn't see it until right before it happened.
It's a definite 4.75, rounded up! I am already not-so-patiently waiting for the next book in this series. And I have a feeling who it will be, or at least I HOPE it is. It fits the darker theme I'm going with perfectly, as well.
One more thing? CHECK THE TRIGGER WARNINGS, as this is undoubtedly NOT for everyone!
