I can’t remember when I’ve been so conflicted about a book. There is a lot I enjoyed about this. I loved John and Garret’s relationship. I liked the idea of this black hunger and demon army. There is just too much useless information and it felt like it dragged at times. Pacing was very strange and bringing in the 2nd pov could’ve been dropped. It’s a good effort but the whole time I felt like it was holding back from where I wanted it to go.
