I really liked all the POVs and I love Acevedo’s writing style, but something about this didn’t really make the book special for me. I wish the book was longer so we could get more from all the characters since the Marte women are the story. It has everything I love: magical realism, multi-generational family saga, mother/daughter relationships, but it was just okay, it felt like something was missing overall.
