The Watermark by Sam Mills
3.0
An interesting meta-literature premise: a journalist and his love interest fall prey to a conniving author, and find themselves trapped in the plots of successive novels.
Some nice writing, and Sam Mills takes her characters through a variety of times and places.
But for me, the plot is confused, even plodding at times. The characters did not engage me enough.
I lost interest and ended up not caring about anyone. Except possibly the Wolf.
I didn’t manage to finish this book.
